Our wines

MINKOV BROTHERS are complex wines. Made by classic grape varieties, they ferment and mature in barrels.

Jamais Vu

Jamais vu (´ʒamɛ: ´vu:) translated from French means "never seen". The concept of Jamais Vu wines correspond to the idea of the unfamiliar and the newly created, and evoke such an emotion. The wines are made according to the classical methods of winemaking while the grape varieties blending practice is borrowed from the "cradle” of wine in its modern look - France.

Oak Tree

The oak is a sacred tree in the people’s culture and in the culture of winemaking.
It is a symbol of power and eterrnity, striving for perfection and eternal life.
Inspired by the sensation of time, we created a blended red wine in the Bordeaux style, matured for 20 months in French oak barrels and minmum 12 months in bottle - OAK TREE.

Enoteca

Small quantities of experimental wines that are not in the constant portfolio of the winery. The wines are creative project of the winemakers who aim to study terroirs, barrel types or new technological practices.

Deja vu is a phenomenon which can be linked to the time spiral.

A moment of instant pleasure of the wine that was once felt makes a surprise appearance today and takes us to a moment in past, which we remember with the atmosphere of familiar flavours, tastes and the state of joyful exhilaration that we felt back then...

Le Photographe

One hundred different photographers recreate a moment in a hundred different ways ... and every look is unique. Inspired by the photografy the wines from the series Le Photographe refract the world through the prism of personality.

Made from prestigious grape varieties the wines from the series Le Photographe wear distinctiveness, character and style.

Minkov Brothers Reserva

MINKOV BROTHERS RESERVA are wines, part of the Minkov Brothers brand that are left for long maturing due to the fact that their origin is from an exceptional good harvest that have a potentional for long maturing. That‘s the reason why we decided to give these wines a chance to grow in the bottle and to show them at the moment when they have reachead their perfect condition.

CYCLE

The CYCLE wines impress with an attractive design of the bottle and the label. Well sustained in the spirit of the charming retro classics, they bring you back to the memories of the youth and light-hearted years. They are oriented towards people – young by nature, with a scent of style and а strive for discovery. They are a romantic journey through the different epochs and exploration of the fine wine taste, combining in themselves traditions and innovation.

The Wine Cellar

At 10 or 15 kilometres west of Karnobat, near the Burgas-Sofia road, you can see the Minkov Brothers Wine Cellar rising neatly on a hill surrounded by vineyards. Its architecture pleases the eye at first sight – an elegant retro style balanced out by some modern elements implying the comfort and discreet luxury inside.

Awards

The wines of Ivan, Vasil and Nikifor Minkov made Bulgaria famous by winning the country’s first gold medal in Brussels back in 1894. Today the Minkov Brothers Wine Cellar remains faithful to the tradition of making high quality wines. More than a century after that first glory, the wine cellar’s wines win more and more prizes from reputable world competitions and are highly valued by connoisseurs and experts. Terroir

We live and breathe with the philosophy that “winemaking starts at the vineyard”. That is why we have carefully selected three plots of land in the villages of Terziysko, Ognen and Devetak to grow our vineyards and make our favourite wines. Despite their proximity to one another, the vineyards have their own individual characters which contribute to the complexity and attractiveness of our wines.

Wine tasting

The wine cellar’s guests can experience the charm of the high-quality wines it offers. If they come in the right season, they can trace the whole winemaking cycle – from harvesting to ageing in oak barrels in our underground tunnels. The splendid scenery, comfort and selected wines will make your visit memorable indeed.

The wine cellar has two museum compounds complementing the atmosphere.

Those visitors who are curious to learn more about the intriguing world of wine can find specialised literature at the tasting and retail room of the wine cellar. Everyone will have the opportunity to buy their favourite wines, as well as stylish wine accessories.
