Minkov Brothers is the only Bulgarian winery that has won the most prestigious world award - the Gold Medal from the Decanter World Wine Awards in London - for the second time. The historic success is for the incredible Cabernet Sauvignon of Minkov Brothers, which deservedly took a place among the best quality wines on the planet. The judges in the competition shared that the cellar placed Bulgaria above the participants from Central and Eastern Europe. “It's the wine! It shines like a diamond against the rest of the samples!” The famous line belongs to Angela Muir, who is recognized as the most influential lady in the world of oenology. She, along with renowned wine journalist Darrell Joseph and competition chairman Stephen Spurrier, unanimously awarded it a remarkable 95 points - one of the highest scores at the tastings. Minkov Brothers is among the few wineries in the whole world to which the chairman of the competition personally gave his high evaluation.

During the prestigious ceremony held at London's Royal Opera House in 2011, where the award was presented to the wine From the Cellar of the Minkov Brothers Cabernet Sauvignon x Cabernet Franc`08, the founder of the Wine Writers' Circle congratulated the oenologists of the Minkov Brothers for creating " An authentic, harmonious and well-balanced wine with real charm". His colleague Angela Muir, in her article, called the creators of the gold medalist "founders of modern wine taste".

The high marks for Minkov Brothers prove that the Cabernet Sauvignon from the Karnobat vineyards deservedly carries the Gold Medals of the Decanter World Wine Awards.
