The MINKOV BROTHERS Cuvee produced by the Minkov Brothers Wine Cellar was adorned with the highest knightly sign of quality. The European Knight Wine Order has honoured the wine cellar with its most prestigious award – the Knight Wine Grail. The Minkov Brothers Cuvée was rated first with 88.43 points and was distinguished in a contested competition among 67 wine cellars from Bulgaria, Austria and Hungary. The international wine tasting competition awarded gold medals to the MINKOV BROTHERS Syrah and the MINKOV BROTHERS Chardonnay, while the wine cellar’ Rosé won a silver medal.
The knightly order of honour was personally presented by the heir of the famous Esterházy dynasty – Antal II, the 13th Prince Esterházy de Galantha. The Austrian nobleman stated that the Minkov Brothers wines brought him back to the romantic times when Bulgaria used to export its best wines to Austria-Hungary. He expressed his hope that wine cellars like Minkov Brothers would restore Bulgaria’s fame in the world wine markets. The prince was fascinated at the fact that the winery was reviving Bulgaria’s centuries-long winemaking traditions.
The Knight Wine Grail is yet another award in the wine cellar’s imposing collection. All these prizes justify Bulgaria’s claim to an honourable position in the world wine map, the members of the European Knightly Order commented.
