MINKOV BROTHERS CHARDONNAY WINS BULGARIA SILVER MEDAL FROM WORLD WINE CHAMPIONSHIP
May 02, 2010

The unique MINKOV BROTHERS Chardonnay has once again won Bulgaria a medal from a major international competition. The most award-winning Bulgarian Chardonnay, made by the Minkov Brothers Wine Cellar, came back home with a silver medal from Concours Mondial Bruxelles, adding to the impressive award collection of the legendary winery. The jury of this prestigious forum, also known as the World Wine Championship, comprised the planet’s greatest wine experts. They had the difficult task of choosing the champions among 7,000 wines from all over the world.

The world’s wine elite was this year once again fascinated by the rich aroma and fresh taste of the MINKOV BROTHERS Chardonnay. This has been the thirdmedal awarded by Concours Mondial Bruxelles to this unique wine, originating from the Minkov Brothers Wine Cellar’s own vineyards. As soon as it was launched in the market in 2008, the Chardonnay won a silver medal at this eminent competition. It was awarded another silver medal at the French competition Chardonnay du Monde in 2009. In that same year the MINKOV BROTHERS Chardonnay grabbed a golden medal from the most prestigious wine forum in Brussels.

With its many awards from international competitions, the wine cellar continues the tradition of the famous Karnobat winemakers, the Minkov Brothers. A long time ago, in 1894, a wine of theirs won Bulgaria its first gold medal from the International Fair in Brussels.

The MINKOV BROTHERS Chardonnay not only won the hearts of the most reputable wine tasters at Concours Mondial Bruxelles, but it also conquered the Bulgarian market, turning into the best-selling white wine. Consumers can enjoy its high quality at an exceptionally low price of BGN 12 to 14 for a bottle. Connoisseurs have commented that European wines awarded with medals at similar fairs would sell at a price of at least EUR 30 or even EUR 40.
